Is it time for a new family vehicle? Maybe your beloved old transport is on its last legs, or a new addition to your family calls for extra seating. Perhaps you bought a new boat that needs hauling. No matter what size you’re looking for, we have some recommendations for you!

Cars
For a standard car, you can’t beat a Toyota. Toyota cars consistently get high safety ratings, including top spots with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). That brings peace of mind when you get behind the wheel. It’s a popular brand in the States, so they are easy to find and service. Reliable, safe, long-lasting, accessible—a Toyota is a great value for the investment!

SUVs
If you’re looking for something a little larger, an SUV is the way to go. Some SUVs are capable of seating seven, if you have a large family or carpool. An SUV’s size also means more cargo space, which is perfect for parents who are constantly hauling sports equipment or school projects. At Tonka A&M, we love GMC’s Denali and Chevrolet’s Suburban. If you’re looking for something more economical, a Tahoe (Chevrolet) or Toyota 4Runner will fit the bill nicely.

Trucks
In the land of 10,000 lakes, many families have watercrafts that need safe, powerful transport from home to lakefront during the summer months. Nothing beats the Duramax V8 diesel engine. Its low-end torque makes moving heavy loads quicker and safer, and the engine is put in several styles of truck so you can select what is best for your family and your trailer.

While luxury brand automobiles are fun and look great, we don’t recommend them because of the repair costs. Getting replacement pieces and mechanics who are qualified to work on them gets pricey quickly! If you are set on getting a BMW, Mercedes, or the like, be sure to get a warranty and/or and extended warranty. If something happens, your pockets won’t suffer.
